Transcription
The initial capital cost is the purchase of a digital dictation device . These vary in price but we recommend Philips or Olympus although any DSS, WAV or MP3 formats are compatible with Lawscript's transcription systems.
Transcription is charged by the minute of dictation received by Lawscript, NOT the time it takes to transcribe each sound file.
Levels of Service
| There are three main levels of transcription services available:- | |
| PREMIUM | Sound files received prior to 1.00pm BST, returned before 5.00pm BST |
| 24 HOUR | Sound files received after 1.00 pm BST, returned before 12.00pm BST the following day |
| 48+ HOUR | For non urgent sound files 48hrs following receipt |

Document Management
The paperless office has been much talked about but as yet has passed by most businesses. While most have accepted the word processor which effectively puts the written word into an electronic format there has been a resistance to rely solely on such an intangible medium as a basis for storing information. The legal requirements to hold information means that large amounts of valuable space are taken up in storing hard copy files. Document management can solve this huge problem including information not already held in electronic format. It is not just document imaging. Document imaging means that you can have easy access to all archived information.
